Reds have to plan after Gomez blow
Joe Gomez suffered a knee injury while training with England yesterday. While it is currently unclear how long he will be absent for, it’s another defensive headache which Jurgen Klopp will have to work around.
Virgil van Dijk is already out on a long term basis, and Trent Alexander-Arnold was substituted in Liverpool’s last match after picking up a knock.
There is some good news on the horizon though, as Fabinho is believed to be close to returning to first-team action. The Reds have a near perfect record when he has started at centre-back in the two main competitions, conceding just one goal.
But if he plays in defence, how will that affect the midfield? Will Klopp have to change the formation of his team?
